Nelson Elder Care Law took part in the 2-day We CARE Veterans’ Resource Fair event held on May 13-14, 2022, at the Cobb Civic Center as a participating veteran sponsor. Our firm provided information about elder law and qualifying for veterans' benefits. The We CARE Veterans' Resource Fair is a division of United Military Care, Inc. and is a 501(c)3 Nonprofit Serving Veterans in Georgia.
Our team rallied the community together for toilet paper donations for Cherokee and Cobb County seniors. We held a contest between our two offices to see which would receive the most donations.
Our Marietta office collected 1,335 toilet paper rolls, while our Woodstock office collected 1,665+ donations! The Super Roll contest was a fun way to engage with business partners to raise awareness of this essential need for seniors in our communities.
We were excited to be a co-sponsor of the inaugural Red, White & Blue BBQ put on by the Veterans of Cherokee County, GA, held at the American Legion Fairgrounds. Proceeds from the event benefited the Cherokee County Homeless Veteran Program and supported veteran suicide awareness with the Cherokee County Suicide Coalition.
Janet Ponichtera, one of Nelson Elder Care Law's team members, just won an award for 12 years of service as an IN WOODSTOCK board member.
This Mother’s Day, we celebrated those who go above and beyond for us every day. That is why we proudly hosted our #FavoriteMomism TV Giveaway to recognize one special mother and award her with a 32-inch LED TV!
We heard lovely stories about special memories, lessons, pieces of advice, and things treasured about moms. Please visit our Facebook page to learn more about the winner of our #FavoriteMomism TV Giveaway.
We partnered with Timewise Financial to develop a video series containing topic-specific conversations about finances and estate management. Our videos inform you about preparing for the future, preventing costly mistakes, and protecting your legacy.
