Depending on your financial situation, you may need the help of a financial professional, either a financial coach or a financial advisor, but which is right for you?
A financial coach works with people of differing situations to help them achieve specific financial goals or solve financial problems in order to move towards financial freedom and a secure financial future. Financial coaches may only meet with clients for a few months. Financial coaches only offer advice; they are not licensed to sell investment products.
Alternatively, financial advisors give people advice on how to plan and invest their money and assets, and they may meet with clients for longer periods of time. Typically people seek a financial advisor in their late 40s or early 50s when they have assets to invest and are gearing up for retirement.
